Fusing his love for technology and smarter governance, Vidal is passionate about helping government use data analytics more effectively, ethically, and equitably. He is currently a Data Science Consultant with Accenture serving state and local governments. Prior to his graduate studies, he worked as a Management Consultant with Accenture Federal Services where he provided analytics consulting services to federal government agencies.
He is an active participant in Chicago’s thriving civic technology community and an advocate of diversifying Chicago’s growing tech sector. In his spare time, he is teaching himself to play the trumpet, enjoys traveling, and serves as an adviser to Mind+Hand, a technology education non-profit helping young Chicagoans gain new tech skills.
He received a BA (’15) in Public Policy Studies from the University of Chicago and an MS (’19) in Computational Analysis and Public Policy at the Harris School of Public Policy. During his graduate studies, he was a Mayoral Fellow in the Office of the Mayor of Chicago and a Data Science Intern at CityBase, a leading government technology company.
