Tezeta Tamrat works as a College Adviser (through the College Advising Corps program) at a public high school in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was matched to Davidson College and graduated from there in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies and Political Science double major. She is the first person in her family to attend and graduate from college in the United States and is the daughter of Ethiopian immigrants. In her free time, she indulges in books and films/TV shows around race, identity/immigrant identity, socioeconomic inequality, blackness, among many others.
