Taranjit was born in a small village in Punjab, India and moved to the United States at the age of 14. During his high school years in Queens, NY he was introduced to QuestBridge and thereafter he went on to study at MIT as a QuestBridge Scholar. At MIT, he studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and also served as a treasurer for the QuestBridge Chapter at MIT. Moreover, during his time at MIT, he served as the captain of the MIT Cricket Team. Upon graduation, he joined a Propriety trading firm in Chicago as a Quantitative Trader where he currently trades Equity Options. During his free time, he likes to play cricket and dance Bhangra. Taranjit is enthusiastic about starting an education fund to support young students in his village and provide them with a platform similar to QuestBridge.
