QuestBridge Alum, Northwestern ‘16 Associate Producer, CNBC's "The Exchange"

AJ is an Associate Producer for CNBC’s “The Exchange” with Kelly Evans, where he pitches stories, books guests and produces live TV segments about the market, geopolitics and other business news of the day. Prior to joining “The Exchange,” he produced for CNBC’s “Power Lunch” and “Closing Bell.” He has also worked on the network’s assignment desk and covered breaking news as a writer for CNBC.com.

He’s passionate about improving financial literacy, particularly in underserved communities, and in addition to his producing role at CNBC, serves as a personal finance correspondent for Telemundo.

His reports air on network affiliates nationwide as part of CNBC’s “Tu Dinero Es Tu Futuro” (Your Money is Your Future) series, which aims to provide tips and advice for managing, growing and protecting your finances. He is also a lifetime member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

A proud South Texan, AJ grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. During his time there, he interned with Univision, ABC 7 Chicago, ABC News and CNBC. He was also a founding member of Mariachi Northwestern.
