Aaron Tarnasky

QuestBridge Alum, University of Notre Dame ‘16 Medical student at Duke University

Aaron is currently a medical student at Duke University and recently earned a Masters of Public Health in Leadership from the UNC-Chapel Hill. He plans to pursue a residency in internal medicine with an ultimate focus on either oncology or critical care. He is passionate about health systems improvement and ensuring equal access to high-quality medical care for people of all backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses.

He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2016 with a BS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. While at Notre Dame, Aaron coordinated and led multiple medical mission trips to Central America and spent a summer researching in Cape Town, South Africa. He also was part of a cycling team that rode across America and collectively raised over $1 million for youth cancer awareness and research.

Aaron currently serves as a member of the QuestBridge National Alumni Advisory Board. When not studying or at the hospital, Aaron enjoys riding his bike and recently completed an Ironman 70.3 triathlon race. He also enjoys teaching and mentoring children in the Durham area through the Boys and Girls club and other non-profit groups and camps.
